07/03/06 New UK Points-Based Migration System Announced
The UK Government today announced a new points-based system aimed at controlling migration into the UK more effectively, by tackling abuse and identifying the most talented workers to help the UK economy and culture grow and prosper. The points-based system is the latest in a wide ranging plan. More than 80 existing work and study routes will now be consolidated into five tiers; with Tier 4 now dedicated for students.
