Top International Student AWARD for June 2007!!!
The Board and Management of Fulham and Chelsea College announced today the Award of two Scholarships for two students entering the Advance diploma year. The Scholarships were presented by Rt. Hon Lord Pendry at the House of Parliament.
Lord Pendry stated "it was a delight that the College was able to provide these two capable and deserving candidates with the resources to complete their Advance Diplomas."
Both students had special needs, one being blind and one having physical/motor disability, but they had overcome these handicaps to excel at the College and it was a popular decision of the Board, Management and Students.
After the presentations Lord Pendry, the College management and student gather on the promenade to take photographs with the backdrop of the Parliament buildings and the London Eye. The Director of studies Xavier Amaladoss Arokiam noted "that many Colleges would have difficulties in accommodating special needs students but at Fulham and Chelsea College the management actively took steps to ensure that the programs taught at the College could be managed by students and staff in a manner that allowed comfort and achievement and it was gratifying to see these students being academically successful."
