Refund Policy 2009-10

In the event of a Student Visa Refusal (including Visa Extension Refusals)

  • Where students pay part or the full tuition fee in order for sponsorship (enrolment documentation) to be issued and their visa is declined, the College, at it’s discretion, may refund part of the fees paid by the student. A minimum administration charge of £300 will be made in any event.

  • Refund claims for directs sales will only be considered upon presentation of the ‘Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 Refusal of an Entry Clearance or Certificate of Entitlement to the Right of Abode’ and return of original sponsorship or enrolment documentation to the College. Without documentary originals, no refund, or part refund, will be considered. Refund claims will only be considered if these documents are presented within 3 months of the refusal notice date. Your refund request must be made in writing to the College Manager.

  • Refunds will be paid 6 weeks of receipt of the abovementioned documentation.

  • Refunds will NOT be considered if the documentation used in the visa application has been deemed to be false in anyway or the documents put forward to the college in order to gain sponsorship have been deemed to be misleading but were taken in good faith as being correct.

  • The college reserves the right to re-charge the Visa Consultation Appointment fee of £200 and the ABE pre-registration membership fee (if the services have been used).

  • Any postage charges will be deducted at the discretion of the Director.

  • Where credit or other cards are used to pay in part/or whole, a fee will be retained according to the cardholders fee-tariff. • Where students have begun their studies or continued their studies while waiting for a visa decision, no refund will be payable.

After Student Visa approval

  • Once the student visa is approved, refunds will NOT be given under any circumstances, regardless whether a student is unable to take up the course or continue for any reason. Candidates will be reported immediately to the Home Office/ UK Border Agency.

In the event of ‘Withdrawal’ before a Student Visa decision

  • Refunds will NOT be given under any circumstances, regardless whether a student is unable to take up the course or continue for any reason. Candidates will be reported immediately to the Home Office/ UK Border Agency.

General

  • No interest or costs are claimable upon any refund payments.

  • The refundable amount is refunded in GBP, irrespective of the exchange rate and net of any bank fees, if applicable.

  • The College reserves the right to change or amend any refund procedures at their discretion, at anytime and without notice. All refunds are subject to the approval and discretion of the Director whose decision is final.

  • By enrolling at Fulham & Chelsea College you agree to the terms and conditions of the College, including the Refund Policy.

  • The College will not be liable for any refund of paid tuition fees if courses are discontinued, amended or cancelled due to reasons pertaining to the external examining body associated with or responsible for the course.

  • Refunds will not be made to a third party unless we have received explicit authorisation from the applicant to do so. This should be in the form of a signed hard-copy letter from the applicant specifically authorising us to refund their fees to a named third party. This condition applies regardless of the source of the original fee payment.
