Course Entry Requirements
The Business Management program is a professional, QCA-accredited qualification to prepare you for a career in business or to give you advanced entry onto professional qualifications & university degrees in the UK & other countries. The program covers the theoretical issues of business & management & offers many practical skills useful to potential employers. Major themes running throughout the program include Management, Finance & Accounting, Marketing & IT.

CERTIFICATE LEVEL - QCA LEVEL 3
The Certificate papers are set & marked to UK GCE - A level standard
All four subjects must be passed:
• Introduction to Business
• Introduction to Business Communication
• Introduction to Accounting
• Introduction to Quantitative Methods
DEGREE YEAR 1 - DIPLOMA - QCA LEVEL 5
Diploma Part 1 & 2 papers are set & marked to the level of the first year of a UK degree program.
PART 1
All four subjects must be passed:
• Organisational Behaviour
• Financial Accounting
• Economic Principles & their Application to Business
• Quantitative Methods for Business & Management
PART 2
Three compulsory subjects:
• Human Resource Management
• Marketing Policy, Planning & Communication
• Management in Action
Plus two from the following options:
• Systems Analysis & Design
• Managerial Accounting
• Principles of Business Law
DEGREE YEAR 2 - ADVANCED DIPLOMA - QCA LEVEL 6
The Advanced Diploma papers are set & marked to the level of the second year of a UK degree program.
Three compulsory subjects:
• Corporate Strategy & Planning
• Managing in Organisations
• International Business Case Study
Plus two from the following options:
• Strategic Marketing Management
• Strategic Human Resource Management for Business  Organisation
• Corporate Finance
• Managing the Information Resource

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA (PG DIP)

The Postgraduate Diploma is a new ABE qualification to be examined for the first time in December 2009.

Accredited by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), the program is equivalent to level 7 on the National Qualification Framework (NQF). The qualification provides a route for students to gain advanced entry to a Masters degree at UK universities.

The ABE Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management has been developed by a senior university professor, utilising current academic learning and research as well as employer knowledge and practice. It is therefore an ideal progression route for those who:
are currently studying professional qualifications and wish to 
  proceed to a Masters degree in business/management

have a related degree but wish to proceed to a Masters level 
  business/management qualification

are in employment, at managerial level, and wish to achieve
  a Masters level qualification
At a time when global economies are in difficulties, the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management represents an excellent, cost-effective opportunity to demonstrate talent and ability.

MASTERS LEVEL - POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA - QCA
LEVEL 7


The program comprises five compulsory units:
• Strategic Business Management and Planning
• Organisational Resource Management
• Management of Financial Resources and Performance 
• Leadership and Change Management
• Corporate Management in Action (integrative case study 
  assessment)
The program does not carry study manuals.

Students at level 7 (Masters Level) are expected to be capable of carrying out their own research and reading.
